ACRA is a non-governmental, secular and independent organization founded in Milan in 1968 and committed for over fifty years to fight poverty and inequality.
Mission
ACRA works with people and communities to guarantee them access to resources, tools and skills, so that they become agents of change and protagonists in promoting equitable, inclusive and sustainable development.Activities
- In Europe and in Italy ACRA promotes a culture of dialogue, integration, intercultural exchange and solidarity.
- Projects to combat gender -based violence and to combat climate change.
- It organizes global citizenship education activities for schools and young people and it is committed to the promotion of agricultural models and sustainable consumption practices.
- In Africa and Latin America, it works together with local communities to guarantee the right of access to food, water, education, energy; for the protection and conservation of the environment and to support inclusive and lasting growth, valuing local talent and promoting gender equality
