“We create sustainable low carbon Impacts for fuel poor homes across Ireland.

Comhairle Ceantar na nOilean is tasked with the promotion of economic, social and cultural development in the Connemara Gaeltacht, which comprises 5 islands. Comhairle Ceantar is developing key infrastructure and community projects within the Connemara Gaeltacht. *** Key targets within these areas are marginalised communities, this is due to high unemployment levels, and a lack of economic and social infrastructure in the region.

Our retrofit social enterprise offers both Financial Resilience and Just Transition by:

1. Financial Resilience:

• By offering a pathway and employment opportunities for most disadvantaged into fulltime employment in the retrofit sector.
• Making fuel poor homes more financially secure by helping them save on their energy costs.

2. Just Transition:

• – By helping the most venerable communities in terms of energy awareness and saving that can be made in their homes.
• – Tackling this poverty by putting in place a retrofit measures for these homeowners.
