The aim of Caritas Câmpulung is to help young women from foster homes or single mothers – victims of domestic violence or human trafficking – from disadvantaged backgrounds to find a new path full of confidence.

The services offered by Caritas Câmpulung are multiple and diverse, adapted to the needs of each beneficiary:

• counselling,
• vocational training
• and socio-professional integration.

For this, the association creates jobs and helps them learn new trades.

They work side by side with skilled staff in the tailoring workshop, the farm and cheese factory in Schitu Golești and the restaurant in Câmpulung Muscel.

All this is part of the Together project, a project that started in 1997 when 9 young girls from the placement centre in Câmpulung (girls’ orphanage) were taken in when they turned 18 and moved to 2 apartments of the Association, with one person in charge in each apartment.

Year by year the Together Project has grown by integrating other young girls, being the biggest project still in progress of the Association, which has 4 main directions:

• Providing housing and a minimum necessary for life;
• Professionalisation and preparation of young women for future jobs;
• Professional and socio-professional training;
• Preparing them to form future sustainable families.
