Non-profit organization ÖKK is a non-profit organization that stands on its own. Unlike other TV channels that are almost exclusively commercial or dependent on other actors, ÖKK relies on its members and citizens.

The reason for being a non-profit organization instead of a commercial TV channel is to ensure that all citizens, and members of the organization, have the strongest influence over what ÖKK is.
